Good quality basic very clean single room with attached loo and shower room. Room also included a kettle, a wall mounted TV, Desk and Wardrobe. Towels and toiletries were provided - including (and this is worth mentioning) decent quality loo rolls. Its also worth mentioning that the cleaning staff let me have a peek into the larger rooms and I have to say they look pretty impressive, with some having full bathrooms. Once you are checked in, you are given the front door codes and your room key and are then pretty much left to your own devices. What I particularly liked was that the room keys were the Mult-T-Lok brand, which is one of the highest standards of security one can get. The hotel is conveniently located on a busy main road about 15 minutes walk in a fairly straight line from Hartlepool station. There is an onsite bistro, but there were no food facilities available, as no doubt like many small hotels, they are still recovering from the pandemic. However, The Middleton Grange Shopping Centre is nearby and there are plenty of takeaways and eateries in the area where one can get food. I particularly reccomend the Arab Street Food place about 5 minutes walk away. I did not have a car with me - and really did not need one. The Bus services run be Stagecoach and Arriva are pretty amazing and enabled me to travel round the area taking in Stockton, Billingham, Middleborough and Durham. I reccomend downloading the Stagecoach and Arriva bus apps on which you can buy daily tickets for about £8.00 which gives you unlimited travel at any time. remember tough, each company's pass is not accepted on their rival's. Having said that, most days I stuck with the Stagecoach one as their 36 bus runs every 15 minutes from Hartlepool to Middlesborough, stopping at all the pretty villages in between. Stagecoach also run the fastest bus route to and from Durham, which can be picked up at the railway station. Their day pass cost me £6.00.

Room was well maintained and very comfortable. The hotel is located a short walk from the town centre and was easy to find. Contacting the staff as I always arrive late in the evening was an easy process, gaining access to the property and receiving the keys was an easy process, but if you don't have a mobile phone this could be a problem.

Having never been to Hartlepool we stopped off while traveling up the East coast. I wouldn't exactly recommend it as a holiday location! However, the room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed, including a fridge which was really useful. The owner was helpful and friendly and it was the best value hotel we stayed in.

Price is great, and the rooms are large. I often stay in London and there's a big difference in space! Room was lovely and warm, staff were friendly and the place is easy enough to access. Dropping in to see family and we needed a cheap place to stay, this place was perfect for that. For the price you can't knock what you get.

The room had been freshly decorated and new carpets. The room near mine were also being done. The staff where very friendly and helpful. A lot of people only stayed a night or to. The hotel is near the bus stops to other place as is the train station. I will stay there again
